To me personal wellness is the strongest attribute you can possess because it can improve all sectors of your life instantly.
What I am trying to explain is that channelling your energy into work will only cause Love and Health to regress. Wellness is the way to improve your Life as a whole.
To many people, the gym seems like a place to go as a last resort, a torture chamber for the obese, surrounded by only the image obsessed but what you cannot see is all the people training for other reasons. A lot of people benefit from an hour alone in their thoughts, perhaps giving them time to focus on work or maybe their loved one.
The list of benefits goes on and on: 20 minutes of cardiovascular exercise 3 times a week will lower your stress levels, reduce high blood pressure, reduce the risk of diabetes, heart disease and many other things. Also it will improve your sleep cycle and the production of 'feel good' endorphins. Include some resistance work to help you feel strong, look good and reduce tiredness at work and you will be almost unstoppable.
So why is this relevant to you if you are trying to sell more??
To sell anything you need to harbour a positive attitude, you need to be buzzing with energy and confidence. The most obvious way to achieve all of this is fitness training.
You will feel more positive because you are taking part in your fitness journey, you are not just stuck in the same dead end job everyday, you are getting fit, fast. This will make you better than the rest of the team, your fitter, faster, more motivated and smarter.
The time you spend training will help you relax but also it will help with your stamina, at work you will be bouncing with energy and ready for the next prospect.
Confidence? Well, what could make you feel more confident than being proud of your body? If you've worked hard you will have a lot to show for it and you will be smiling ear to ear.
I know a lot of people who are trying to lose weight. Even though losing weight is not my speciality I sometimes get involved and ask the person, " What are you doing about it, how do you intend to do it?"
The answers vary but normally revolve around learning about calories, carbohydrates, sugar, fat, etc, they seem to know a lot about all the different foods, vitamins and nutritional supplements. They have also learned about all the advantages of exercising regularly.
But the one thing that will have the biggest effect on whether or not you achieve the ideal weight is your attitude. Many people don't really believe they can lose weight and get in shape because they have not been taught how to use their minds, they have only learned the physical side of losing weight.
A lot of people don't realize it but we all talk to ourselves, sometimes the talk is positive and sometimes is negative. Things like, "I have no time to go to the gym", "There are people a lot fatter than me", "I enjoy eating chocolate so much" and "I have no time to eat a proper meal so I eat junk food all the time". We repeat all this to ourselves so many times that our subconscious mind believes it and makes the task much harder, almost impossible. We talk ourselves out of it!
To lose weight is, more than anything else, a mind game!
